Please find enclosed a copy of my dissertation about Laytime which was successfully received and as a consequence, i am now elected as a
Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICS)
Writing a dissertation is also a route to take to become a MICS, although special criteria have to be met by the applicant.
Basically, criteria are min 35yrs of age, min 10 years in shipping and the dissertation has to be of min 15,000 / max 20,000words.
Also, the subject chosen has to be approved by the Institute beforehand and, most important, it has to 'enrich the Institutes Funds of Knowledge' !
The dissertation has to be send to the Institute within 6 month's of their approval of the subject.
My communication went via the Irish Branch of the Institute. Believe you will have to deal directly with the London head office.
